Here's How One Texas PTA Nailed This Funny ‘No-Fundraiser Fundraiser’

PTA's ‘Alternative Fundraising’ Form that Highlights Fundraising Fatigue

We got a real kick out of this no-sell fundraiser story!

In 2015, the parent-teacher association (PTA) of one Texas middle school sent home an ‘alternative no-fundraiser fundraising’ form that gave parents a good chuckle and caught the attention of many media outlets.

The original form cleverly acknowledges fundraising fatigue—the burnout associated with dealing with multiple fundraising requests from schools, sports teams, extracurricular activities, or other groups and causes.

Taking a no-frills sarcastic approach, the form encourages parents to save time, effort, and hair-tearing-out by donating the money that they would have spent anyway.

A better alternative fundraising idea

We certainly understand this PTA’s point of view and know parents are weary of being asked to participate in fundraisers.

Luckily, we have an even better option vs. donating money: RaiseRight!

Rest assured, there is no selling involved and no money to be lost.

Simply buy and use gift cards or shop online for all your routine, everyday purchases: groceries, gas, coffee, dining out, clothing—you name it. With hundreds of brands to choose from, there's something for everyone in your organization.

With every purchase, you earn up to 20% back for your fundraising program. Say you buy a $100 gift card with 10% earnings—you'll earn $10 for your program! The earnings come directly from the brand, so there's no need to spend extra money to donate to your school, program, or organization.

To illustrate this, we decided to make our own take-home form, aptly titled ‘Another Alternative to the Alternative Fundraiser’:
